About Artist :
Julien Ekiem is a visual artist and multidisciplinary designer from Lyon.
Born in the suburbs of Paris, he developed an interest in images very early on and quickly expanded his graphic and visual culture to which he devoted his studies. He began his career as a freelance graphic designer in 2007 and has since worked for creative agencies and various brands.
In parallel with his activity as a designer, Julien Ekiem develops a more personal style and adopts in his works a simple visual language based on clean and stylized lines, mixing bold colors, wefts and repetitive patterns. Wealth of contents and combinations, plurality of media, his works can be read as an abundant whole or as a multitude of protean and autonomous elements.
Versatile and applied artist, Julien Ekiem has evolved a lot since his beginnings and is currently turning to a more contemporary and graphic approach, as evidenced by his latest works. He has to his credit collaborations with major brands such as Carhartt, Toyota or Grolisch, Maped, Ubisoft. Julien EKiem has also exhibited his works from Paris to New York via Taiwan and Singapore.
